3 Ways to Properly Respond When a Lady Tells You She’s Into You

If a lady tells you she has a crush on you (whether you like her or not), it can be very surprising because for a lady to open up to you about how she feels, she must have been harboring that feeling in her for a very long time and she just couldn’t keep it to herself anymore that she has to let it out.

Luckily, some guys find themselves in this situation and most of them don’t know how to deal with it, and I’m an example of such guys.

“When i was still in college, there was this lady who told me she likes me, and being the amateur i was back then, I didn’t even move and inch, I stood there like a stature dumbfounded not knowing what to say. We stood there looking at each other for like 2 minutes until she got tired waiting for my response and walked away”

Even though I was kind of attracted to the lady initially, but because I failed to take care of the situation properly, I lost her for good.

How you respond when a lady tells you she has a crush on you (whether you have feelings for her already or not) determines what kind of relationship you guys would share after that situation.

In this article, I’ve put together a list of ways to respond to her so you won’t fumble and blow up your existing relationship whenever a lady ells you she’s into you.

Compliment her

Finding yourself in this situation can be a very awkward one to be in, and the best way to kill the awkwardness in the air at that specific moment is by responding in a positive and polite way.

Saying ‘Thank You’ is the very first thing you should utter from your mouth regardless of whether you have feelings for her already or not.

1. If you’re currently in a relationship and you think you both won’t be a match :

Assuming you already have a girlfriend or there’s someone you already like, or even if you just don’t see her that way and you think you guys together won’t work and you don’t want to hurt her feelings, the perfect thing to say in that scenario Is;

“Look ‘Name’, I’m flattered someone like you has feelings for me, but i don’t think I’m ready to be in a relationship with someone right now, there’s so much baggage in my life that I’m currently dealing with at the moment and any relationship would just be a distraction to me. But I would still love for us to stay friends.”

2. If you’re not currently in a relationship and you also have a crush on her :

This is the type of situation most guys wish to be in. Imagine someone you have a crush on walks up to you to tell you how she really feels, isn’t that the dream? Lol!

While finding yourself in this situation is extremely rare, It’s not impossible, so if it happens, this is how to respond.

First, wear a big smile and say;

If you know her before and you have her contact – “Hey ‘Name’, thank you, I’m flattered, would you like to go out sometime?”

If you never knew her before but you’ve head you eyes on her all this while – “Hey, thank you, I’m flattered, can i get your number? (which she would 1000% give it). Then continue your conversation over the phone”

Another way to do this is by playing the delay game and telling her you’ll think about it and get back to her later.

But DON’T let the day pass without giving her the above response because they aren’t like us, they don’t have the patience to wait long for a reply after telling them you’d think about it.’

FYI, never let her know about your feelings too right at that spot, don’t do it!

3. If you’re not currently in a relationship and you’re not sure how you feel about her :

Assuming you’re single and you’re don’t have feelings for her or you’re not sure how you feel about her at the moment, the best way to respond is by asking her for sometime to think about how you feel.

You could say “Wow, I wasn’t expecting this. Do you mind if I take sometime to think about it?”

If after thinking about it, you decided to give her a chance, you can get back to her with ‘Response 2’

If you eventually decided that you just want to be friends with her for some reason, you can go with ‘Response 1’

Again, your response should come within a day, just so you won’t damage the existing relationship between you guys (If there’s any) incase you decide to go with any of the response. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt so far is that to never keep a lady waiting, It always never ends well.
